About Us

The Rural Municipality of Estevan No. 5 is a diversified and growing rural municipality in southeast Saskatchewan. We surround the City of Estevan and stretch south to the Canada–U.S. border, sharing our southern edge with North Dakota.

Established in 1910, the RM covers roughly 772 square kilometres and is home to almost 1,300 residents, along with the Hamlet of Hitchcock. Our community is built on agriculture and energy — grain and cattle operations, oil, power and gas, and the industries that support them — and we're proud of the ingenuity and hard work that keep this corner of the province moving.

Our Council and staff work to deliver the services our ratepayers rely on: maintaining roads, managing development and land use, supporting economic growth, and keeping the community informed. Whether you farm here, run a business, or call the RM home, we're here to help.
