Roads
The RM of Estevan maintains a large network, approximately 410 Kms, of grid and paved municipal roads year-round, keeping the community connected and supporting agriculture, industry, school transportation, and emergency services.
It's the backbone of how our community moves through the RM.
The majority of our network is gravel, which suits the traffic and the wide-open distances. A smaller share is paved, generally on the higher-traffic routes and the corridors that support local business and industry.
Investing in better roads
The RM continues to upgrade key routes as funding allows. Recent improvements include paving and upgrades on high-traffic corridors near the City of Estevan, the Estevan Regional Airport, and most recently Shand Road supporting both everyday travel and economic growth in the region.
