Publice Notice: Zoning Bylaw Amendment

Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Rural Municipality of Estevan No. 5, intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 5-2014 known as the Zoning Bylaw.

Intent: The proposed bylaw will rezone Lot 11 & 12, Parcel D in NE 18-2-7-W2 from High Profile Commercial/Light Industrial (HPCI) to General Industrial District (IND1)

Affected Land: The affected land is legally described as part of the NE 18-2-7-W2 as shown within the bold, dashed line on the adjacent map.

Reason: The RM of Estevan has received an application request from the landowner to rezone the above-mentioned lots so that the land can be used as an accessory development to an Auto Wrecker operation.

Public Inspection: Any person may inspect the proposed bylaw at the R.M. of Estevan Municipal Office at 102 Supreme Street, Estevan, Saskatchewan between 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Copies are available at cost.

Public Hearing: Council will hold a public hearing to receive any written or verbal submissions on the proposed discretionary use application at 11:00 AM (local time) on October 28, 2026 in the Council Chambers of the RM of Estevan No. 5 at 102 Supreme Street, Estevan, Saskatchewan. Written submissions will be presented to Council and can be delivered to the RM office, or emailed to rm5@rmestevan.ca
